Welcome to Fifth Grade!

Hello bulldogs and families,
I’m so excited to welcome you to our classroom community this year! After more than 20 wonderful years as a technology teacher—a role I absolutely loved and a position where most students know me from—I’m entering my second year as a fifth-grade teacher. While I’ll always have a soft spot for coding, keyboards, and all things tech, I loved diving into math, science, and social studies with my very own group of amazing fifth graders last year, and I look forward to doing the same this year!

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a self-proclaimed tech geek, educator, dog lover, crafter, beach aficionado, and DIY enthusiast. I live in Howell with my 12-year-old rescue pup, Phoebe. She is our class mascot, and students will see lots of her throughout the year!

This year will be filled with curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. I believe learning should be fun, engaging, and full of those wonderful “aha!” moments, and I can’t wait to share that journey with each of you.

Parents, I look forward to partnering with you throughout the year. Students, I can’t wait to get to know all of your talents, interests, and big ideas. Here’s to an amazing year of learning, growing, creating, and having fun together!

To help us stay connected, I’ve created a classroom hub page for both students and parents to keep everything in one convenient spot—so be sure to bookmark this site!!

Here’s to a fantastic year of learning, growing, and discovering together—welcome to fifth grade!
