About Mrs. McChesney

For the past 29 years, I have had the privilege of wearing many different hats in education. I have been a teacher, mentor, literacy coach, staff developer, curriculum assistant, grade-level chair, supervisor, and reading specialist. Each role has provided me with valuable opportunities to grow professionally, collaborate with educators, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students.

My passion has always been literacy and helping students become confident, successful readers. Throughout my career, I have continued to expand my knowledge and expertise through professional learning and specialized training, including Orton-Gillingham training, LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) training.
